Dr. Freeman received a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Masters of Education from Mansfield University.  She also obtained her principal K-12 certification and PhD. from Andrews University.

Dr. Freeman has worked in the field of public education for the past 21 years, beginning in 1997 as an elementary school teacher in the Southern Tioga School District. She taught at Liberty Elementary School and then moved into school administration as the Director of Technology and later Director of Curriculum and Technology. She received her Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from CALU and served as the Superintendent of the Galeton Area School District prior to coming to the Wellsboro Area School District.

Dr. Freeman has served as board of director on the Potter County Education Counsel, Galeton Development Corporation, North Central Workforce Investment Board, Charles Cole Memorial Hospital Outreach, Mansfield University Alumni, Grow, Tioga County Development Corporation, Sweet and Etner Foundations, and the Pennsylvania Rural and Small Schools.  She is also a member of the Wellsboro Education Foundation and the first Pennsylvania Superintendent Academy directed by the Secretary of Education.
