All About ME!
My name is Jennifer Ingerick-Outman. I live in Wellsboro with my two children, Nathaniel and Nicholas and husband, Mr. Outman. Yes, Mr. Outman is the Physical Education teacher here at RLBMS. I love to read, workout, and spend time with my family.. I also enjoy playing volleyball. I have been the Wellsboro Middle School Volleyball Coach since 1998. A passion and interest of mine is the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. I have been a team captain for the School House Rock Relay for Life team since 2009.
I moved to Wellsboro in 1991.. Before moving here, I lived and grew up in Up State New York in a town called Canton. I attended Potsdam University where I received my degree in elementary education.
I love working with children and can't imagine doing anything else. I started off babysitting during high school, then to aide work for B.O.C.E.S. during the summer while in college, taught Head Start, worked for Tioga County Human Services as a Wrap Around for at risk children, was a substitute teacher, and taught in the Elmira School District for two years.
I resigned from Northern Tioga School District to obtain this fifth grade teaching position. I taught at NTSD for six years. While there I taught fourth grade, sixth grade, and a specialized Title 1 Reading program. I sometimes ask myself if there is anything else I am going to teach, but quickly realize I am better of not knowing. As you can clearly see, I have revolved my entire life to children and plan to continue to do so for approximately 18 more years. OH NO!!
I am looking forward to a fantastic year and a great group of kids! Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have a question, concern, or would like to help out in the classroom. I have an open door policy. I am here to help and meet the needs of your child.
